Woman who punched crocodile in the face to save her sister to receive honour

A woman who fought off a crocodile to save her twin sister has been honoured for her bravery, earning a place on the inaugural King's Civilian Gallantry List. Georgia Laurie, 31, from Sandhurst in Berkshire, heroically punched the predatory reptile when it attacked her sister Melissa during a trip to Mexico in June 2021.

Highlighting the strength displayed by her sibling, she added: "What's made this story so incredible is Melissa's unwavering bravery throughout it all because she was so strong during it and I don't think I would be here without her, she really gave me the strength to keep fighting." Pc Zach Printer is also set to be honoured with the medal for his confrontation with gunman Jake Davison, who was unarmed at the time, on August 12, 2021, in Keyham, Plymouth.

Pc Denniss had been out walking his dog at Hubbard's Hills when he caught sight of Daniel Boulton. Boulton was a person of interest regarding the murder of his ex-partner, Bethany Vincent, 26, and her nine year old son, Darren Henson, which had occurred the night before.
