A woman who was being pursued by the RSPCA was found to have four cats "fighting for life" inside a small bag when she was finally tracked down.
On February 1, the inspector was attempting to check the home once again when she saw Perry walking along the street carrying a large bag for life. When asked what was in the bag, Perry, 56, simply replied "cats", but said she did not know how many. Ms Cooper, who noticed fresh scratch marks on Perry's face, said: “The cats were inside a single cat carrier, designed for one small cat or kitten only, which had been concealed inside a pink bag for life.
Within the kitchen, she saw "cat faeces over the floor, up the walls, and on the cupboards", leaving the room "extremely smelly" and beset by flies. Two cats were found within a guinea pig cage, that was "too small to house them", with no access to water or a litter tray.
