A woman was raped by Benjamin Mendy's co-defendant Louis Saha Matturie just hours after celebrating her birthday, a jury has heard.
Mr Mendy, 28, faces seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and one count of sexual assault against six women. He denies all charges against him. She said she believed she was heading to a party but, when upon arriving at the apartment, realised that only Mr Matturie and another man, whose identity is not clear, were present.
Following the alleged incident, the woman said she found her friend - the other had since left - and told her: “We need to get out of here.”Woman Eight said she initially ‘brushed off’ the incident but later decided to report it to the police. Mr Mendy was found not guilty of raping the same woman after prosecutors offered no further evidence against the defendants on those four counts.
