A Nottinghamshire woman performed CPR on a member of the public while on her way home from an emergency first aid training course. Judita Oyaluade had just completed a seven-hour-long course with St John Ambulance in Mansfield, when she ended up performing chest compressions on a woman.
An ambulance was called and Judita instructed the lady to adopt a recommended body position for someone who is experiencing chest pains. Judita added: "But the lady was refusing to comply, as she was in too much pain.“I knew I had to adapt and try to at least encourage the lady to raise her chest from the floor." While still waiting for the ambulance, the woman's condition worsened as she lost consciousness.
