A 65-year-old woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being involved in a crash between her mobility scooter and a BMW.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the Ayrshire seaside town's Waggon Road, near to the junction with Peebles Street. The woman was rushed to University Hospital Crosshouse, near Kilmarnock, 16 miles away from the scene of the crash, where her condition is described as critical.
