Alison Little spoke to the ECHO previously for our Where I Live series after she bought her first home without viewing the property. Alison, born in Co Tyrone in Northern Ireland had to judge the Wallasey house from a video call the estate agent insisted she do after she decided the property was for her.
"Those questions weren't asked out of curiosity but rather with judgement. They weren't interested in what lead me to want to do this project. There was no curiosity like that. "The women have had tradespeople invoicing their husbands even though they placed the order and tradespeople who wouldn't speak to them unless their husband was there.
"As a single woman who is renovated, having male tradespeople in your house can be quite intimidating at times, and you can sometimes want to watch what you say to them."
