The 28-year-old, who has not been named, was in a blue Ford Fiesta when it hit another car in Birmingham last night.The wreckage of the two cars was found by police at 9.42pm and the woman was taken to hospital where she later died.Three people who had been in the other car - a Volkswagen Golf - are said to have suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Investigators from the Independent Office for Police Conduct are at the scene on Crocketts Road in the city.
