Witnesses have been quizzed over whether a video uncovered by the Sunday Mail inextricably links Nicola Sturgeon to SNP fraud claims. On the tape, the ex-first minister raged that the SNP finances have “never been stronger”. “There are no reasons for people to be concerned about the party’s finances and all of us need to be careful about not suggesting that there is.

” We can now reveal officers – who have been re-interviewing some witnesses for a fourth time about claims of £600,000 of missing donations – are asking detailed questions about the tape. Sturgeon, her husband and former SNP CEO Peter Murrell, and former treasurer Colin Beattie have all been arrested and questioned as suspects. They all deny any wrongdoing.
