Kabukicho is far quieter than usual but is being accused of fuelling a coronavirus second wave

The arrival of dusk is normally the cue for Tokyo’s biggest red-light district to spring to life. But in the middle of a pandemic, not even the neon lights could lift the coronavirus cloud hanging over Kabukicho this week.

Not only Tokyo now. 981 cases in Jp 23/7. Highest record. Jp's number of confirmed cases has been increasing since all shops were reopened. Altho they have been wearing masks since the early stage. They boast abt their decades mask culture. They are ignorant abt social distancing

Once again this mentions lifting restrictions at the height of infection to encourage more economic activity.
