'Working-class voters will slowly but surely peel off to Labour'

Dominic Cummings’ departure marks the end of a radically successful experiment to turn the Tories into the party of the provincial English working classes. A year ago, the party campaigned heavily on a platform to improve the lives of ordinary people; now, hours after Cummings’ exit was confirmed, the party briefed a return to the preoccupations of metropolitan England.

Yup you blown it borisjohnson , loads of dosh to your chums 🤣🤣🤣hey ho what's your nickname for Princess Nut Nuts 🥜 Prattista 🤔 - love to see the photos , gotta be something she got on you.....................

People came over to us, to give us a clear mandate to deliver Brexit. Whether they stay with us or return to Labour, is down to our policies and we can deliver regeneration to the North. Cummings was a political advisor, who had a flare for the unorthodox.

Now we’ve realised the cronyism on a grand scale underway and the downright corruption of democracy and law, it must only be the beneficiaries of this bent system who are left with blue rosettes. Oh and a few racists.

Do not presume the working class do not understand economics and the danger of Labour policies to spend spend spend and build a nanny state We the working class know hard work builds lives and it’s up to us to manage our lives and not rely on the government to do everything

You're a bit slow they already have started shifting that way after all truth will out as they say

Going to peel off from all one party state to Reform brexitparty_uk . Wait until May. They will sweep board. Unlike Brexit party, this time they will get support from people who voted Remain, young people etc esp re latter as they're fighting to get their tuition fees back

With Sir Kier Starmer the controlled opposition. Hahah yeah right!

When?

Refuse to vote Tory? Working class upbringing but won't vote Labour. They all need turfing out in my view. Voting Nigel_Farage and i think Brexit is bollocks.

Susanmerryweath No we won’t liebour no longer represent me

*back

A great shame.

Cummings cared so much for the Red Wall that he kept locking them down! Whoever wrote this clearly is talking a load of tosh!

Blue Labour, Momentum, centrist Labour, the Labour Party tries to be all things to all people. Some will peel off to Labour for want of an alternative, many won't vote. Unless there is a credible political alternative. We need a populist alternative to the status quo parties.

Joined by every student who comes of age for the next generation, but by then they will just be to picking up the pieces of a decimated 3rd world nation left after his mismanagement from the pandemic and brexit.

Yes. Going from one tyranny to another tyranny. Peeling off from the frying pan to the fire. The voter choosing which clown to trust on the trampoline. What a choice🤔

It won't be slow, and it won't necessarily be to Labour. The majority of us are politically homeless.

I know capitalism is in its final stages and the illusion of democracy is now a translucent white elephant in the room... But the wealthy could at least make the effort to put decent puppets in charge of our countries... I mean seriously, they've given up the fking pretence...

I think there is a clear candidate for the next party to take votes off Labour and that's TheSDPUK. They are alined with the working class of the North and of Wales in my personal opinion.

They already are the party of the posh.

umm...i dont even know where we go now! Destroyed our society! Not sure this calculates as humans let alone votes
