Number of cases goes above 4,000 for first time since MayThere have been a further 4,322 lab-confirmed cases of Covid-19 as of 9am on Friday, with the total number rising to 385,936. Additional 4322 cases of Covid19 in the last 24 hrs with the total number risen to 385936. UK death toll has been hoovering around 41,732 since May with more than 5000 cases deducted a month ago as NHS claimed it wasn't Covid related. They were covid related it’s just that the government thought bringing in a 28 day cut off for counting deaths was good as they lost 1000s of death of figure. If you died in hospital from covid 29 days after a positive test it’s not counted as a covid test In May it was targetted & much more limited testing so there was a hugely higher % of positive cases, now with general testing in greater volumes the % of positive results is massively deceased. You cant argue that hospital admissions & deaths aren't steadily rising though ☹️
