I would move my whole family to Jamaica if they offered me £1b. It’s everyone’s dream to live on an island without financial worries

But half a million would help?

Not accurate - she, by her own admission, is the generation after

'Being forced to live in a country full of black people is inhumane,' claims a black person.

She is Jamaican and has lived her life in Jamaica. What is the problem? She could have applied for a tourist visa or filled forms You don;t mention that she was denied entry because of EU Regulations. Before we joined the EEC people had free movement within the commonwealth.

This is outrageous!😱

If she said she wasn't that bothered she would not get so much compensation - Get Real BBC.

Opportunistic shipping companies and newspaper owners should never have facilitated her arrival to the uk to begin with. At least she no longer has racism and white privilege to contend with.

Why bring it up now ?....I know to stir up racial tension.

....The Majority of the immigration officers that denied me entry were racists. This is an ordeal I'll never forget and I will live to tell my children and the world at large the maltreament I went through in the hand of UK immigration

Strange how the drug couriers have no problems gaining entry and avoid deportation!

Fair play to her for not wanting ANY compensation there’s not many out there like that . 🤨

Not about the money, it won’t make me happy but I still want it.

I speak for all past and present colonists when I say the only reason why our past and present did so was because we are part of the same... Great Britain.... great not because of your efforts alone Caribbean decent played there part it time you played yours.

Why did they not highlight the injustice levelled against one culture, by the hostile environment law specifically discriminate against 'jamaicans'

“Stuck”.... in Jamaica....your native country....🙄

Okay I must be missing something, colonists =freed by a British King with States to boot. When did colonists need leave to remain ? Why did colonists need leave to remain with colonisers colony 🤔🥱

Don't forget your wealth is a direct result of colonialists.... Aswell as fighting wars for (great Britain)... As if that wasn't enough we turned around and built what greed tore down.... And then took care of all your forefathers....

Statute of limitations

Always keep on top of your paperwork

All about the money

I don’t understand why they don’t keep paperwork or apply for permanent status it is no good saying it you need proof

Typical woke BBC report.

Why though? If you struggled for decades to get back in, why would you leave it 14 more years after you’re allowed before sorting your documents out?

Oh yes it can !!!

The drama

So dramatic

Iran's a nice country

Boo hoo ... 😢
