Former professional racer, world ultra-cyclist and White’s Oats brand ambassador Joe Barr , is gearing up to undertake his greatest challenge yet as he sets out this Sunday [July 10] to break the Guinness World Record for the greatest distance cycled in seven days.
A former Commonwealth games medalist, Joe has had an incredible career spanning 45years and came out of retirement in 2009 to fundraise for his son Ross, now 15, who was diagnosed with stage 4 neuro blastoma when he was just 6 months old. Supported by his partner and qualified performance nutritionist Jillian Mooney, Joe has undertaken a rigorous training programme to ensure he is both physically and mentally ready for this challenge.
