The band's latest album is released this week and they want to 'help put Leigh on the musical map'

Wigan band the Lottery Winners are opening up a special pop-up shop in their hometown which will host an all-day Bank Holiday party as well as showing off rare props.

The shop will be open until next Thursday and will sell merchandise and copies of the latest album in a bid to help the band reach the coveted number one position on the UK’s official album charts. The band themselves will be visiting the store to sign albums on Monday to take part in an all-day Bank Holiday party. The event will also feature live performances from the band themselves alongside local bands.

Lead guitarist Rob Lally adds: “We’ve even created a little museum within the shop using all of the props from our music videos. It’s so cool to see everything we’ve done all laid out in one place.” They have also performed at major music festivals including Glastonbury and Kendal Calling and sold out their own night at Manchester’s Albert Hall last year. The band are also set to perform at the Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington on May 28.

You can usually find Hope fawning over some art, tech, or likely a wonderful combination of them both and where relevant she’ll share them with you here. When she’s not writing about the amazing creations of others, she’s working on what she hopes will one day be her own.
