Prince George, Princess Charlotte and their fellow young royals were absent from the Queen’s Service of Thanksgiving – here’s why

June 03, 2022 - 13:42 BST Sophie Hamilton The royal family attended a special thanksgiving service for the Queen at London's St Paul's Cathedral on Friday as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, however, the younger royals did not attend.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis did attend their first televised service earlier this year, however, it was a family event, the memorial service for their Great Grandfather Prince Philip. The children were unable to go to his funeral in April 2021 due to the pandemic restrictions.
