Why Jordan Pickford might not win World Cup Golden Glove, despite having most clean sheets

Jordan Pickford may well finish the Qatar 2022 World Cup top of the clean sheet standings after Sunday’s final, but still looks set to be denied the Golden Glove award.

Of course, if Martinez keeps a clean sheet against France in the final, this will all become irrelevant as he will have four in total and then will almost certainly be crowned the Golden Glove winner.This is still not guaranteed though, because the World Cup Golden Glove is not decided simply by which goalkeeper keeps the most clean sheets.
