The government is fond of claiming that the UK is “one of the best prepared countries in the word” - How then to explain the debacle over testing? 👇

The government is fond of claiming that the UK is “one of the best prepared countries in the word” when it comes to pandemics. It’s the stock answer they give journalists who go to them with anything faintly critical.

Because there is no anti body test yet

Your responsibility as a Tory newspaper is to support the Government not continually knock it. It is doing its best for us all. This mornings front page was a disgrace for which you should all hang your heads in shame

I think that when this is all over, The Government will have a lot of hard questions to answer on why their response was so pitifully slow compared with other countries'.

Wtf does it achieve? Blanket testing is a waste.

They cant explain the mess they have made - too little too late. Politics more important than lives clearly

Do these tests need to be repeated daily, weekly?

Apart from Germany, other euro countries r in the same boat the UK is testing more than Spain & France, there having the same issues in resources. The Germans manufacture most of this so there at a huge advantage.

Those (esp. in UK/Aus./India/Canada/US) who thought Zhang suggesting to peers to produce counterfeit thermometers to Americans was a joke, more news for you: contaminated test kits which Eurofins responsibly warned UK about are sourced from China. COVID19

Move along, nothing to see.

TORY LIES

What debacle? Stop this scaremongering.

We do not need testing Will not give anything more to situation than we have now Apart from even more hysterical screaming from pundits who know nothing about anything! 28,330 people died in UK in 2014/2015 We did not close anything down We all continued our lives. Grow up!

On the media hysteria over COVID-19 testing: You get tested tomorrow morning, and that test is negative. How long will you stay 'negative' without complete self-isolation? How long will you stay 'negative' if you work for the NHS? How often do the MSM want us to test?

The BBC have just been reporting from outside a test centre in a Lidl car park and it was empty. This is set up only for the nhs staff not the general public and it’s empty don’t complain and not use facilities offered.

Germany conducting more than 50,000 coronavirus tests a day

Testing is a media farce pointed towards government. Yet another tiresome media tripe who do not understand that the outcome is utterly useless.
