Surely you must be able to get a letter from your doctor and carry it with you. When you get asked to wear a mask you show them the letter.
Personally I don’t believe anyone is exempt from either a face mask or a shield, there are plenty of ways to wear a face covering, I appreciate anxiety and mental health play a big part in all of this, but for a few minutes whilst in a shop is it so difficult.

People with exemptions should be able to access delivery slots as priority.They risk catching and spreading the virus if they go in doors without one

Legally don’t have to prove anything
If supermarkets, department stores, shops and other indoor public places don’t enforce mask-wearing or stop and question those who don’t’ wear them (typically teenagers, or pale skinned females in their 20s-30s - don’t ask why!), then they can’t prove their bluff or honesty.

Download the exemption PDF and that is the most official way to say you are exempt. However there does need to be a way for people to not abuse this trust. GPs and health workers able to issue true official exemption PDF forms will be good.

You know, those ones who wear masks all time in hospitals and care homes. 27 out of 35 hospital admin staff tested positive in one session, spreading it to their families. But hey, blame an exempt person in a supermarket if it makes you feel better.

Have been saying from the start we need an official exemption. If not issued by doctors one where you have to make a signed declaration and with clear penalties for making a false claim. Then have to show it in entry to shops or challenged by officials but not have to display it.

Don't wear one, then when you're denied access that's discrimination, if your genuinely exempt as soon as you lodge a discrimination case against the offending company they won't fight it and you'll get a juicy compensation cheque.

Too many non-maskers are are saying they are exempt when they are not. They know that shops cannot demand proof. Probably not the only C19 precautions they are avoiding so a strong possibility they are more likely to spread the virus. No mask and no badge should mean no entry.

I'm not exempt from wearing a mask&have a lung problemfind it hard to breath, especially if stressed. I try hard not to go places that need one, but will always wear the mask to help keep myself and others safe.I keep shopping to a minimum and get it delivered or I click&collect

Honestly the fact people are do dumb and argue with anyone who doesn't agree with mask wearing is beyond. I haven't seen a single person in any of the supermarkets by me, not wearing a mask. Yet we've had a rise in cases just like everywhere else.

Officialy I'm exempt from wearing a mask because I suffer from copd which makes me highly vunerable but I always wear one .my question is why the hell would anyone not wear one if there vunerable it just doesn't make sense.its as uncomfortable as hell but Id rather live then die

There is very few people who can't wear a mask, yes its uncomfortable and yes it can affect your breathing a bit, but you don't wear it long and if your breathing is that bad maybe staying at home is a better choice.
