Mikel Arteta was once involved in an utterly bizarre advert involving an Arsenal fan's nan.
Years before he became Arsenal manager, the Spaniard was playing for the Gunners - captaining the side and making 150 appearances for the side.He also won back to back FA cups during his five-year playing Arsenal. But the former Rangers and Everton man also starred in the funniest advert you've never seen.Arteta holds a sign which contains a tweet from a fella named Joe Wilson, who wrote,"My nan can take a better penalty than Arteta" on Twitter.
Nanna Wilson, wearing the No.71 on the back of her Arsenal shirt, turns up on the training pitch. The commentator says she came through the same youth system as Samuel Eto'o, apparently. Arteta offers a handshake but is snubbed. He then converts his penalty very confidently to make it 1-0, before Nanna Wilson produces a tame effort.
Arteta cracks a smug smile and he walks away consoling the pensioner. The advert is a mere 30 seconds but makes for great viewing and has gone viral again on social media.
