We should be wary of what authorities can do with such sensitive genetic information

Last week, at a police convention in the US, a Florida police officer revealed he had obtained a warrant to search the GEDmatch database of a million genetic profiles uploaded by users of the genealogy research site. Legal experts said this appeared to be the first time an American judge had approved such a warrant.

Well, ppl will use these genealogy data bases... Privacy is so rapidly becoming a thing of the past. However good the computer security is, there's always someone better...

In the course of human events there has come this time for which we as sentient beings are accepting the acquisition of our human-ness by systems to which we have lost access or control.

This reminds me of The film “Gattaca”. Beware the future can be scary.

What's worse is when aliens get hold of the criminal DNA database, discover from the point of advanced intelligence that criminals were victims too, then resurrect a planet full of them including their leader Satan and God (Janus) Fair's fair! Hot & Cold. Quick and dead. JC xx

That could be the Brexit Golden Nugget & all of the science allied to it & stem cell research & dare I say it non artificial AI, humanoids
