WHATSAPP has added a new feature that will stop people from automatically adding you to groups.
If you activate it, friends or strangers will be blocked from placing you in group chats without getting your permission first.Previously, anyone with your phone number would be able to add you to a group chat.And sometimes friends might add you to a group chat you just don't want to be in.It means you shouldn't end up being added to weird group chats automatically any more
It's a great idea, as being added to a random group chat can expose your phone number to potentially hundreds of people – which is terrible for your privacy.First, make sure you've updated to the latest version of WhatsApp on your phone.From here, you can choose one of three options.Choosing 'My Contacts' will limit group-adding to people in your phone contacts – forcing everyone else to invite you first.
And choosing 'Nobody' will require everyone to ask for your permission before you can be added to a group.
