By burying the carcass, and going to get another one, because it's just an animal, and they make more. When our Pygmy Hedgehog, Colin, died, I had to bury him in my in-laws' garden. I wrapped him in his favourite flannel and placed him in a small shoebox with flowers from our garden. Then I went out and bought the largest stone hedgehog I could find and placed it on his grave.
