janemerrick23 I wouldn’t vote for them.Snd neither would millions of others. There saved some trees for ya.

janemerrick23 I always remember her and the other candidates for the leader being asked on the Today programme (probably) where they stood on various policies and her being unable to articulate a view presumably because she had spent years avoiding taking a stance. Only Corbyn was able to.

janemerrick23 The Tories would still be in a majority government and Brexit would have been pushed through ages ago. NEXT!

janemerrick23 We would have a virtually coalition Tory goverment which is why the Telegraph and Tory media are so keen on her.

janemerrick23 She hasn't the Balls.

janemerrick23 Much better idea than Corbyn as leader, might have some proper opposition to Brexit from the opposition

janemerrick23 🤣🤣🤣

janemerrick23 Westminster bubble alert 🚨

janemerrick23 God have mercy!

janemerrick23 No thanks !

janemerrick23 *Were* Labour leader. Jesus, why do so many professional writers get this wrong?

janemerrick23 If YvetteCooperMP was Labour leader we'd be more inclined to vote Labour; but *never* while Corbyn's in the chair. Some of us are old enough to remember his grotesque antics in the 70s & 80s!! NeverChangesSpots

janemerrick23 Why are people answering as if the question was 'What if Yvette Cooper had been leader 2 years ago?'

janemerrick23 We would not have the membership numbers or transformative manifesto and the real possibility of a Labour government very soon‼️

janemerrick23 I wouldn't have joined the Labour party.

janemerrick23 what if... the Torygraph was unbiased? it isn't, and she's not. end of

janemerrick23

janemerrick23 Then people would leave Labour in droves.

janemerrick23 Yvette who?

janemerrick23 What if the leave campaign didn't spout shit during the campaign, what if Theresa May was a stronger leader, what if brexit was stopped, what if brexit happened & it was a disaster? What if scotland was independant, what if England had its own parliament?

janemerrick23 Ala janemerrick23 With a heavy heart I would never vote labour as I did for the first time in 2017. We Shirelings would be friendless with no one in Gondor to represent us. Cooper and co are Blairites and care not for us No Corbyn = no vote

janemerrick23 What if.... people still read newspapers....?

janemerrick23 ....if only she could get more than 16% of the membership's votes....

janemerrick23 The Tories would’ve had a massive majority & a landslide victory with Labour receiving a mere 20-25% of the vote. We don’t need to speculate, because believe me, times would be worse if Yvette Cooper had led us into 2017’s election.

janemerrick23

janemerrick23

janemerrick23 According to all polls exactly about this subject, taken in the final weeks of the 2017 election campaign, Cooper would have been a disaster for Labour. But I’m guessing you knew that, and hoped we all had forgotten.

janemerrick23 she is not and we decide not her nor you - end of conversation

janemerrick23 Still wouldn't be any better type of party they'd still support terrorist organisations.

janemerrick23

janemerrick23 The question you should ask is what the Tory party would look like if she were Tory leader. JC4PM2019

janemerrick23 Kier Starmer please...

janemerrick23 Labour would have been finished. She will never be forgiven for her disgusting welfare reforms in 2009/10.

janemerrick23

janemerrick23 Apparently this happened in 2015 Candidate Jeremy CorbynPopular vote251,417 59.5% Andy Burnham 80,462 19.0% Yvette Cooper 71,928 17.0% Liz Kendall 18,857 4.5% That’s how popular the aspiring Head Girl is

janemerrick23 Any body but Corbyn, then again keep him in power?

janemerrick23 She’d do a bloody good job!

janemerrick23 NOT. GOING. TO. HAPPEN.

janemerrick23 The Tories would be terrified, and out of government.

janemerrick23 She would get a better seat....at the front and in the middle...

janemerrick23 That’s a bit like asking if Ed Millband has won the 2015 general election or if Cameron hadn’t resigned or if the Maybot hadn’t become PM.

janemerrick23 There would be a handful of very happy Labour mp's riding the gravy train to nowhere, while the membership would have decreased and we would all be heading for hard brexit on a handcart

janemerrick23 Coming from The Telegraph😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

janemerrick23 She has never seen anything through - not electable in my opinion so hope she becomes leader!

janemerrick23 Oh no! The out of touch Merrick is at it again. Come back when you’ve got a clue janemerrick23

janemerrick23 She would have had to change her plans to take in migrants. O hang on a minute........

janemerrick23 Then mays deal would have already been agreed as she would have a huge majority

janemerrick23 Yvette Cooper? That would be 2 Tory Parties. labour

janemerrick23 Bollocks ..........end of.............

janemerrick23 TelePolitics

janemerrick23 Loooool

janemerrick23 What if someone with zilch integrity who has spent two and half years sabotaging democracy was Labour Leader? They already have one of them

janemerrick23 Labour would’ve been eradicated in the election

janemerrick23 The Tories would have a majority and Tory brexit would already be a reality.

janemerrick23 Don't really want a return of this do we?

janemerrick23 Fer gawd's sake fvck off. Yawn

janemerrick23 if ifs and ands were pots and pans, there'd be no work for tinkers' hands.

janemerrick23 We need Corbyn... To remind ourselves why to never vote Labour again and why liberalism is a cancer to any society

janemerrick23 Torys would have a majority government

janemerrick23 'Some in Westminster have been prompted to describe her that way this week' Therein lies the astonishing and continuing failure of the 'journalists' to comprehend the fact that Westminster isn't the country The days of stitch up politics is over

janemerrick23 you may want to give this a whirl

janemerrick23 Torygraph & Tories are 💩 themselves 😂 TickTock

janemerrick23 Yvette couldn't beat corbyn lol

janemerrick23 Good pay wall you got there

janemerrick23 Does it matter? They are both idiots

janemerrick23 What if David Cameron hadn’t called for a referendum on the EU? It’s hypothetical Yvette stood in the leader election and received 17% of the vote that should say it all!

janemerrick23 Well i quite fancied david Miliband but yeah j could go with that

janemerrick23 Like all good Labour leaders she would bung her two left feet husband a £100K a year job, they are all money grabbers Iike the Blair's.

janemerrick23 I probably would have been deported by now

janemerrick23 She is part of the neo liberal establishment and therefore part of the problem!

janemerrick23 What if did some actual journalism ? 👇 This is why , it will NEVER happen . End the delusion now !GeneralElectionNow JC4PM2019

janemerrick23 I wouldn't vote Labour and I'd cancel my membership. Not interested in Neoliberalism. Its done!

janemerrick23 Tories would be more worried with Yvette in charge and we wouldn't have had 2 years of dither by Corbyn.

janemerrick23 I sat opposite her on a choob train one night. She'd been to the pub.

janemerrick23 There’s only one outstanding candidate surely, Chuka Umunna unless Mr Blair returns!

janemerrick23 Tories would have a majority

janemerrick23 .UKLabour would have been finished.

janemerrick23

janemerrick23 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

janemerrick23 👇

janemerrick23 Theresa May would have won a huge majority in GE2017 and steam rollered through the hardest of Brexits 👍😱😃

janemerrick23 The Tories would have a majority of between 50/60 seats, which although being welcomed by yourselves would be even worse now for the country as a whole.

janemerrick23 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣... she got paid for this rubbish 🤣🤣🤣👌

janemerrick23 very difficult to say - there were so few policies on view during her extra-ordinarily lacklustre 'mustn't offend anyone anywhere' leadership campaign. JC4PM2019

janemerrick23 ANGELA BLOODY EAGLE!

janemerrick23 What if ‘What If’ by Kate Winslet had made it to number one?

janemerrick23 She wasn't elected. She was very clearly not elected by a wide margin

janemerrick23 Would be a copy of ANGELA BLOODY EAGLE if she was. Mind you - which brain donor would join Lab party to make ANGELA BLOODY EAGLE their leader, eh? Check out AaronBastani’s Tweet:

janemerrick23 You’re writing for the Telegraph... easy to see where you true loyalties sit forthefewnotthemany

janemerrick23 Labour membership wouldn't have swelled. The extreme right would have been emboldened. People didn't want Cooper or Smith or Eagle no matter how much the Blairite elements in the party tried to foist them onto people.

janemerrick23 This article is brought to you from La-La Land.

janemerrick23

janemerrick23 Then Labour would have a landslide win at the next election

janemerrick23 😂😂😂

janemerrick23 the tories would have even more seats in parliament.

janemerrick23 I feel like you guys have been asking minor variations on this question for three and a half years now and it's really really boring.

janemerrick23 The Tories would never have called an early GE, and would be using their working majority to pass a hard Brexit through parliament.

janemerrick23 Yes please? Tomorrow?

janemerrick23

janemerrick23 Ed Balls would no doubt be back as cha cha chancellor. 😂😂

janemerrick23 She d fall flat on her face She put herself before her constituents

janemerrick23 The Tories wouldn't have called an election and would be miles behind in the polls.

janemerrick23 Yeah she be fine jellyfish corbyn as got to go ASP

janemerrick23 Rubbish, her voice is like bee in a bottle and she plots and grandstands to undermine her current elected leader. Great representation of a leader that, Loves herself.!

janemerrick23 I'd look back on my notes of when she told a room full of sick and disabled that she was going to press ahead with social security reforms - despite the protestations from the room - and then not vote Labour due to her not giving a toss about the criticisms that were soon proven

janemerrick23 Labour just don't have female leaders .................. white male, over 60's may apply or any old male who can emulate and regurgitate the 70's socialist doctrine .

janemerrick23 Two women ..OMG ..handbags over the despatch box ..!!

janemerrick23 Then I still wouldn’t ever vote for a Labour..

janemerrick23 Yep - What if

janemerrick23 What if The Telegraph didn’t spew out the same nonsense ad infinitum?

janemerrick23 No thanks

janemerrick23 The Tories would still have a majority, and they would not have been forced into more u-turns that the last three government put together Simples PS and they would be rivaling the Tories for the lowest membership figures and still be in debt

janemerrick23 Other than the bbc going ment... more mental?

janemerrick23 No way she anothe MP her Constituants Voted Out there not happy she fighting t stay she not be here nxt GE, she Blairite stuff her no way .C Flint good bet although Remainer she fighting f her Const who voted out. Bring her on Corbyn like May as to go very soon

janemerrick23 Lmao.

janemerrick23

janemerrick23 Then we’d be back to the One-Party State.

janemerrick23 Then Labour would lose the youth surge, the left, and the anti-establishment vote.

janemerrick23 There'd be less foreign folk and a lot more dead disabled folk i assume

janemerrick23 Yvette as leader what a great idea. We need a radical centrist government and she would be ideal.

janemerrick23 She is a Conservative on a Labour seat as such she would already have rolled over to please.

janemerrick23 they would actually stand a half -decent chance of being elected

janemerrick23 If she was leader, Labour would be tanking in the polls, May's deal would be voted through and she would be attacking immigrants and the disabled

janemerrick23 Labour would have lost seats in 2017, the Conservatives would have a larger majority, and the hardest Brexit possible would currently be getting rammed through Parliament.

janemerrick23 YvetteCooperMP is joined at the hip with Blair and his illegal invasion of Iraq. So no thanks.

janemerrick23 Lot of people would vote for the sensible side of Labour. Sort it out and get Cooper into the hot seat and put Corbyn on the backbench where he can protest till his dying days

janemerrick23 Didn’t she (and Ed) flip their houses in the expenses scandal? Apparently they paid the excess back so escaped further scrutiny.......... They’ve all got their noses in the trough !!

janemerrick23 Ed Balls would at least make a good First Lady.

janemerrick23 “Forensic Questioning Will Cure All Our Ills” I scream into the ether.

janemerrick23 They need to lose that general election first.

janemerrick23 debbiesimone123

janemerrick23 Labour has a leader and he’s called Jeremy Corbyn.

janemerrick23 1) There isn't a vacancy. 2) She already failed prev voting as leader. 3) Check her awful voting record. 4) Members say NO.

janemerrick23 She's pro tory and sour grapes anti labour..😨😨

janemerrick23 A remainer at the helm would cause Labour to lose GE from its leave voter base

janemerrick23 She'd already be PM. Next.

janemerrick23 We'd have been PASOKified in the 2017 election.

janemerrick23 The country would be fucked if she was ever elected PM. She is a corrupt liar.

janemerrick23 another useless champagne socialist

My amendment will help prevent it | Yvette CooperI want to put parliamentary safeguards in place to protect the country from chaos as 29 March approaches, says Yvette Cooper MP, chair of the home affairs select committee Shame you voted to trigger Article 50 two years ago, which set the no deal process in motion. she wants to stop Brexit - against the democratic mandate of the referendum What would be disastrous would be the cancellation of Brexit. Opinion: In a bizarre turn of events, Theresa May could get her Brexit deal through after all – the key lies with Yvette CooperIf the bill Cooper will table on Monday goes through, it could change everything 😱 A magician? This is the problem with having had a Deal, ToryBrexit campaigned for by VoteLeave at the same time as a NoDeal, UKIPBrexit campaigned for by LeaveEU. The Tories are in power and UKIP aren’t even in Parliament.

Editorial: Far from a ‘coup’, this democratic step could give the people a Final Say on BrexitIf Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn oppose a new referendum, so it falls to others to give MPs a democratic choice – and Sir Keir Starmer, Yvette Cooper and Dominic Grieve are among those playing their part ...nice play on words. Call it what it is, a coup.
