While Brexit dominates, the party is at risk, says Guardian columnist Owen Jones

The easiest game to play as a political pundit is to say: this set of election results proves I was right and vindicates the strategy I have recommended. But anyone claiming that these results offer clear answers for Labour are simply expressing what they would like the party to do.

Given that the (stated) aim(s) of Brexit are enhanced economic prosperity & social stability, and that New Zealand or Canada, in the Commonwealth, or Norway or Finland, trans-Baltic, do it so much better, why not simply apply to be “acquired” —as a colony, thereof, yourselves ?

If there is anyone who interprets results to fit their own narrative, it's Owen Jones. He can't quite allow himself to conclude the obvious: Corbyn is at least half Labour's problem. Labour's current position isn't the middle ground, it's lack of coherent & effective leadership.

It probably tells us that we should have left the EU by now and Westminster is totally inept and reluctant to deliver it. Well, as long as their pensions are taken care of

Isn’t Owen jones a moron though?

That they need to change their policy and support remain or they are likely to go the same way as the Conservatives

They tell Corbyn that if he backed remain, or at least a people's vote, he would be in number 10 by now

Is he really looking to the heavens for divine inspiration here?!

What do local elections tell Labour .......... Er they need a bigger fence to sit on !!! Jus tinkin

The Messiah photo is amazing. I assume he is on a Mount, blessing the cheese makers.

There is nothing more evil than the false words and hate-filled thoughts of pipsqueak. Does he not know that the far Left killed 100m in the 20th century alone?
