This became a climate breakdown story when it really was a maintenance problem....

Now you have to wonder how much of this was true and how much was media enhanced to blow up the extra damage caused by the rain and the old flush slabs failing.

It was never going to collapse according to an engineer I know working on it. There's something far more serious going on in Whaley Bridge however.....

Looks to be a void between the outer shell and clay. Filling should suffice.
