‘American exceptionalism has to die’ – David Neiwert on the rise of the far right

👏👏👏👏👏 Beautifully written DavidNeiwert. “The Republican party as it stands...may be too toxic to change, but the US does need a legitimate conservative force that is loyal to democracy.” So true.

I don't think exceptionalism itself necessarily has to die... but it DOES have to be lived up to. Greatness doesn't maintain itself indefinitely... nor does ignoring what achieved greatness help either (having such a variety of peoples in example)

‘the rise of the far right’ Of course the identity politics tree bears only rotten fruit, but who planted it?

America is exceptionally screwed up.

Anyone can buy & my terrific guide to American Exceptionalism here:

Global

.DavidNeiwert AmericanExceptionalism has nothing to do w/ Identarianism & White Nationalism. Stop conflating them to push your hatred of America.

The problem in America is the result of generation after generation being taught false and deceptive history. Now all of that deception is ingrained in the minds of citizens that are beginning to act out their many different ethnic European bloodlines. History has to be truthful.

Good luck with that 👋🏾

The 'far right' per the Guardian is anyone not a monster, raving, Stalinist.

The far right is growing as a answer to far left ( not only in USA but in UK as well ) So you are one of The creators Congratulations.

Chelsea’s David Luiz books Carabao Cup final slot in shootout win against SpursChelsea will play Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final after they beat Spurs 4-2 on penalties, having forced a shootout by winning their semi-final second leg 2-1 His failure in defense saw Llorente score, so the least he could do was bury his penalty. Spurs could win the League, and will more than likely be in the Champions League, to me.. this is more important than the League Cup... but that's just me...

More means less when it comes to a great cafe | David MitchellPatisserie Valerie lost its atmosphere when it became just another chain restaurant with a vague ‘Belgian patisserie’ theme Interesting article. I used to be a huge fan of Patisserie Valerie; the one in Bath was lovely, complete with Olde Worlde feel. Sadly, the one in Salisbury is very ordinary & the one in Bristol looks like a tube station cafe. The food is only so-so now & staff don’t stay. Pity Only hipsters want 'a great cafe.' Real people just want somewhere to have a drink and a snack.
