We 'signed' Anthony Gordon for Liverpool from Newcastle and he was incredible

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Anthony Gordon in the summer transfer window - a deal which would be sure to anger the blue half of Merseyside.

So, if Liverpool were to sign Gordon, could he hit the ground running? We simulated the upcoming season with the 23-year-old in Slot's side to find out. He made 44 appearances across all competitions, with 31 of these starts and 13 from the bench. In those games, the winger scored 14 times and grabbed three assists, with only Diogo Jota , Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah scoring more. Salah was at his best once again for the Reds, with the Egyptian registering the highest rating per game in the squad and also grabbing 12 assists.

Gordon made the best XI in the simulation, starting in the front three alongside Nunez and Salah. Dominik Szoboszlai was incredible as the Hungarian scored 10 and assisted 16 to make the best XI, while Wataru Endo also made the midfield trio, despite Stefan Bajcetic making more appearances than the Japan international.
