Manchester City brought 100 staff together this week to formulate ideas that will inform the City Football Academy's planning to develop the 'future player of the future game'.

Thomas Krucken's vision for the Manchester City academy took a step forward this week, with an innovative summit of staff coming together to continue planning their strategy for the next decade,

Workshops took place throughout the day to focus on what that future player will look like, position specifics and knowledge transfer between departments. From there, the academy will kick on with evolving their strategy to be equipped for the 'future game' ahead of time. Speaking to MEN Sport last month, Krucken also explained why the current under-21s have found things harder than their predecessors, who won the Premier League 2 for three years in a row.
