She is too heavy for a boot camp at that weight. The strain on her body and joints trying to do those exercises could have given her a heart attack. I don't believe the trainer intended any malice. It may not have been nice to hear that but that's the reality.

You can do it on your own but you have to want to do it for yourself. I was around 23-24 stone when I first started the C25K, I even got up to 10km and got down to 19ish. Then pulled my Achilles trying 50km in a week, I did it on the first day as well 🤦♂️.

It depends on the boot camp no? Are they firing live rounds and stuff if so it would put her at greater risk. If it is just an exercise boot camp it may be too vigorous at her present size. I am saying this as a guy who would probably die of a heart attack if I did any boot camp.

What a douchebag trainer, I know loads of larger ladies that train hard. We have a great trainer that can cope with all sorts of dimensions in one go! I hope this doesn’t put her off her goals, go girl, this guy is obviously not up to the job 💖

Maybe if there was less support for huge people and more emphasis on health then this problem wouldnt exist in the first place. People are far too comfortable.

Some people are just too big for 'bootcamp', carrying around that sort of weight and then doing intense and/or impact exercise can severely injury someone, and sometimes the injury can last the rest of their life. It's not harsh, it's the truth.
