Midfielder Jake Livermore and goalkeeper Ban Hamer leave the club, while Ngakia's stay at Vicarage Road has been extended.

Watford have released Jake Livermore, Ben Hamer and Ashley Fletcher, and confirmed that Jeremy Ngakia has signed a new contract.

However, the Hornets have now confirmed that the 23-year-old who has made 74 appearances since joining from West Ham in August 2020 has signed a deal that runs until summer 2027, with the option of a further year retained by the club. Fletcher has had loan spells at New York Red Bulls, Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday while at Vicarage Road, but scored just two goals in a combined 63 outings for that trio of clubs.

So, of the 24 teams in the Championship last season, the three teams coming down and the three coming up, 23 have shared details of released players and those offered new contracts. The 35-year-old midfielder made 83 appearances for Watford between 2011 and 2013, but has yet to sign the new deal offered to him by the Terriers.
