A major emergency response could be seen in East Renfrewshire this afternoon after a 'trapped' dog sparked a water rescue.
Fire crew and police could be seen near Rouken Glen Park at around 2.44pm today, March 27, after a dog found itself stuck near a fast flowing river. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.44pm on Wednesday, March 27, to reports of dog trapped near a river in Rouken Glen Park, Glasgow. "Operations Control mobilised specialist water rescue units to the scene and crews safely recovered the dog to a position of safety.
