Warzone 2 is getting absolutely slated by Steam reviewers: 'Crash of Duty'

Today I visited the Steam page for Call of Duty: Warzone 2, and two big orange words jumped out at me: 'Mostly negative'. Any player can leave a review on Steam and the platform summarises the overall mood, and it's not unusual to see high-profile games that launch with issues bombarded with negative reviews at launch before returning to some equilibrium when everything calms down. And Warzone 2 has issues for sure but I've had great fun with it.

I should say that I've experienced no issues with Warzone 2's performance, beyond the bug that stopped you inviting friends to your party for the first day or so. But clearly they are happening, because recent negative reviews mention not just crashes but general connectivity issues, performance issues, and loading problems. There are also many complaints about the game making players change their names, and having trouble accessing it generally with the COD account.

I took the clue, got a PS5 and haven't had any issues with crashing yet. Games now are just developed for console. Sucks to admit but PC is no longer the master race. (Coming from a 30+ year PC junky)

I crash at least 2 times in a session.

As frustrating as it is to crash and lose all your gear, I'll give them a pass on the dmz bugs because the game mode is marked as 'beta', but battle royale and the mw2 multiplayer have the same problems.

The games missing something that the 2019 Warzone had.

Guy who wrote this article mentions 5 times how he had no crashes and had a good time playing. Guy, if it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it's not happened to other people. Game is horribly optimised and full of bugs. 3 years of triple A studio work for this? Atrocious

Seven studios. Thousands of employees. A billion plus dollars in revenue…and still crashes once an hour.
