Marks and Spencer and Aldi take the second and third spots but Asda lies bottom in satisfaction rankings for UK stores

Waitrose is the supermarket which satisfies customers the most by its in-store experience, according to a consumer group.

Which?'s annual survey put the firm top for the second year running, ahead of Marks and Spencer in second and Aldi in third. The John Lewis Partnership offshoot scored a maximum five stars in nearly every category covered in the poll - from ease of finding products and fast-moving queues, to friendly staff and the appearance of its shops - and received an overall score of 76%.However, it scored only two stars for value.Advertisement

Harry Rose, editor of Which? magazine, said:"The quality of fresh products is the single most important factor for our members when choosing where to shop in store and this is just one of the areas where shoppers have told us that Waitrose excels. "There's clear room for improvement for the 'big four' - Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Asda - as they continue to trail behind Waitrose and M&S for experience, and behind Aldi and Lidl on value."

I can't believe this was a fair survey as there's no full supermarket waitrose within 30 miles of me!

Have you been to Asda in Mk 🤢🤮😷

Asda 😡 ( shocking on every level )

Not surprised waitrose came out top. Stores i've been to are always immaculate and staff incredibly helpful. Quality of their food is excellent.

Who’s first

Who's making up this load off cobblers

No surprise asda is bottom of the list as their fresh meat is appalling and the staff at our local are a bread of their own!

Asda is a horrible shopping experience

Gammons shouldnt be shopping at german markets......

Aldi is pretty crap - you can never get served in that place. They have no self-service tills and there are always queues of people buying £150 worth of shite ahead of you!

Totally agree waitrose may not be the cheapest but their quality and customer service is second to none

Not surprised to hear asda are at the bottom, their meat is diabolical!
