Wade Deacon High School cultivates future leaders of tomorrow

From excellent pastoral support, an extensive subject offering and some of the best resources around, Wade Deacon High School has it all.

Wade Deacon High School has many dynamic teams and groups that give students the chance to be leaders. Year 11 Prefects act as school ambassadors, while Student Leaders in Years 10 and 11 organise fundraising events, plan special school occasions, and help out when needed. Following in the footsteps of last year's trailblazers, they've seized the reins with gusto. Their predecessors left an indelible mark at the Debate Mate Cup, competing amongst Merseyside's finest. Now, with April on the horizon, this year's team hopes to repeat that success.

Initially nervous, they rehearsed and practised. By week’s end, a sense of achievement permeated the group, instilling pride and a tangible increase in awareness. Amidst intense competition, notable figures like Mrs Claus , Mr Ashworth, Ms Rutland, and Mrs Hussey showcased outstanding performances. However, a winner emerged, delivering a thrilling finish by overtaking over 100 students to claim first place. The event raised £220 for the charity.
