But Vladimir Putin, at 67, could live another 30 years, and who knows what may happen in that time. It took 20 years to bring the butchers of the Balkans – Mladic and Karadzic – to justice, and Putin’s crimes are so serious that he should never be given immunity from prosecution.

Pie in the sky. Ukraine needs to win its fight for self-determination. Once that has been achieved the aftermath will most probably include the fall of Putin. But that's secondary. The Hague is a court for Western elites to sit in judgement but they lack moral legitimacy.

I will send him to live in a bombarded building in Mariupol with the same life of residents and everyday showing him films about what that special operations meant for people.
