Viv Albertine, the guitarist with the Slits who was at the core of the British punk movement, is to have her life story adapted for a television series.
I saw The Slits at Middleton Civic Hall, 1978, supporting The Buzzcocks. Hard gob rained on them. The lead singer shouted down the mic: “Don’t effing gob”.
Could be a good movie! I wonder whether many of her songs will feature.
