More than 20 new homes could be built on land in a Shropshire village, after planning officers backed the proposal.

Albrighton Parish Council has voiced its objection to the plans

In a submission to Shropshire Council, the parish said:"The proposed site layout plan demonstrates that the vast majority of the land area of the site is to be occupied by larger homes. "However, the reality is it is unlikely that people of retirement age will want to move from one large dwelling to another."

The submission said it is concerned about the impact on highways safety, adding:"It is highly likely that the level of proposed develop will significantly increase the volume of traffic using this road.

Pretty standard for Shropshire Council. They go with whoever is lining their pockets . Proven time and time again with the masses of houses being built but no roads to carry the extra vehicles as well as closing roads with no consultation (crowmeole Lane for example)
