A 13-year-old Utah boy with autism was shot by police after his mother asked for help getting him hospital mental health treatment and officers agreed to talk with him, police footage released Monday showed.

Why does the report not say if the boy was black or white, could it be he that perhaps he was white, are the US police not armed with tasers but only with guns, something is very wrong when a young boy with a serious health issue is deemed to be a danger.
America’s gun culture is at the root of this. Police legitimately fear being shot themselves. They need to exercise better control of this fear but it can’t be easy.
Why are cops afraid of a 13 year old boy? Autistic or not. Cops should see therapists bi weekly. Some of these guys have PTSD from the shit they've seen. Every day they deal with the worst people in the country. They need more training and mandatory therapy.

I think the problem with most wordl's police officers is that they are always preople who can't think by themselved, people wich lives always has been about following orders without cuestion, with no self reflexion... They'r just like empty veihcles for powerfull people
We need to stop police from handling cases of people with emotional problems or mental illness. It shouldn’t happen- they’re not trained for it, too many die.
