Verstappen says engine manufacturer Honda 'never really left' F1 given its ties with his Red Bull team.

He said:"When we talk about the engine, we always refer to it as the Honda power unit."I'm just glad that they're coming back and they're committing again, like fully to be 100% present."

Gasly added his surprise at Honda's initial exit, the manufacturer having announced its intention to quit F1 before Verstappen was crowned drivers' champion with the Honda RA621H power unit.He said:"I was very surprised when they left after winning the world championship. I thought, 'OK, now it's their time to shine'… They had their own reasons to quit.

"Straight away they were like, 'OK, we still want to keep a footing and fund the deal with Red Bull to still be committed in the sport.'"They've got all the facilities, all the resources, to run like a top team in F1 and hopefully in the future that's something we can see."

Martin Brundle: Singapore showed 'Max Verstappen 2.0 is still quite a temper'Singapore showed that Max Verstappen still has a temper on him, but Martin Brundle says it only shows how much pole positions and potential race wins mean to him. F1 Or not..until his entitlement and rage causes a nasty accident on track and injuries someone badly...he still thinks he's driving karts after 7 years in F1! Seriously, when Lewis swears at his engineers (and blames them!), then it’s just his passion, no mention of a temper. Flip these people and their bias🙄 Of course Max still has a temper. It comes out when he’s not getting his way. He starting to believe his own hype now because everyone of his fans expect him to win every race from every position because he has the car to do it, but he proved on Sunday that no driver is perfect.

‘Put Fernando Alonso in other people’s cars, and he would’ve won more titles’Max Verstappen reckons Fernando Alonso would have been the one hoovering up more F1 titles had he been the one driving the dominant cars. F1 Coulda shoulda woulda. The business side of racing is making sure you get your butt into the best team ms build relationships. Senna famously offered to drive the Williams for free! I think everyone knows this. An average driver like Vettel won 4 championships in a dominant car. Even Pastor Maldonado would be a multi F1 champion with a dominant car and slower team mate. Why is this a story? It's just common knowledge
