June is a massive month for the Valorant community. We’ve had the release of a brand new map, Abyss, and now Riot Games’ popular multiplayer shooter is on console for PS5 and Xbox in the form of a free limited beta. We also have the beginning of Episode 9 launching soon, and a Valorant dev has confirmed some nerfs, changes and bug fixes for Episode 9. As mentioned, the new Abyss map is now out, and it’s Riot’s deadliest map yet as it contains zero boundaries.
Episode 9 Act 1 is scheduled to begin on June 25th. We have a hotfix coming to PC very soon to address the following issues:– Removing Neon's air accuracy while sliding– Changing the Abyss-only queue back to Unrated– Fixing an issue with Iso's orb spawn logic after he disconnectsConsole will receive these changes in 9.00.— Coleman Palm June 14, 2024 The production management lead has also confirmed another fix for update 9.01.
