Vaccines are about to save this flailing government

The headlines were all doom and gloom. The numbers, however, had actually been upgraded. This week’s official economic forecasts mostly told us, as forecasts usually do, what we already knew: the Covid shock is the worst hit to our economy in generations. But there were two other aspects to the data. The first was to detail the sheer vastness of the government’s Covid bill. The second was that, in part thanks to that government support, our economy might actually emerge from this roughly intact.

This could bury this failing government especially if there are predictable bad reactions, or deaths, and they rushed it through and promoted it.

No country has managed it well. Even Sweden is having problems again.

It’s amazing people who write for a living in these third rate papers and journals and yet they know exactly what should have been done during this crisis. Yet was never heard from until the crisis was over.
