"I don't have a weapon! This is a bucket! This is a clamp!" the man says
Police in the US state of Colorado have launched an internal probe after an officer detained a black man holding a rubbish picker in front of his building, US reports say."I don't have a weapon! This is a bucket! This is a clamp!" he says in the video taken by a neighbour. Police in Boulder said an officer had called for back up as the man was"unwilling to put down a blunt object".and took no further action, a police statement said.
Why is this on UK news?
Why have you highlighted the persons skin colour? Surely you should just be saying ‘US police detain man’. This just causes segregation and is almost inciting race/hate issues 😡😡😡😡
Can it get any worse
It isHIS house
Why? : (
HE IS VERY LUCKY HE WAS NOT SHOT TO DEATH, AND DONT WORRY THE INTERNAL INVESTIGATION WILL FIND THE POLICE STUPID FOR NOT SHOOTING HIM, THERE ORDERS ARE TO SHOOT ALL BLACKS REGARDLESS OF ANY CRIME, CHECK THE HISTORY!!!
Police in the USA? See:
ACLU NAACP What was the charge going to be? 'Criminal litter clearance whilst black'? The report published in February 1999 by Sir William Macpherson into the Stephen Lawrence killing labelled the metpoliceuk 'institutionally racist'. Isn't past time this phrase was applied
Well done BBC. You’ve managed to get Black guy abused and shitty USA in one story. Fabulous.
These type of police officers are actually a danger to society. This could have easily ended with the guy being shot dead & the officer saying he shot the guy in self defence because he thought he’d drawn a weapon. So scary when you can’t even pick up litter in your own garden.
Nothing more can be said
🇺🇸 madness
Just what exactly is the criteria and then the training for someone to become a policeman in the U.S? Because it seems to me that there are some pretty stupid and hence dangerous men in uniforms with guns. How many more times does the world have to see these incidents and deaths
So what?
Damn niggas tidying up the place, what are they thinking 🙄
What is wrong with that officer?
So? Any consequences for that? 🙈🙉🙊 No matter how bad US is, no matter how bad US president is, UK will still be US ally...
Did you pick this up from RT Ruptly? We don’t have US police
Would the BBC report it if it was a white man ?
Litter picking outside your home whilst being black is such a serious crime 🙄
I don’t believe the man was ever detained. There was a confrontation with police where words were exchanged but it ended with the officer handing the man back his Naropa University ID
An astonishing lack of judgment and an appalling breach of community confidence. The officer must be taken off the street and desk bound . He could have killed the man it’s frankly chilling .
Whoever wrote and tweeted this should be arrested by the fake news police.
Should he have gotten his white maid to take out the trash?
How in the hell is this even newsworthy? The left is hellbent on the the Kalergi Plan.
Had to be in a blue state. It always happens where Democrats are in control.
Boulder City, Colorado police?
Crazy bastard. Picking rubbish outside his own house is one step away from barbecuing in public.
Unfortunately in Trump's America if you're black, Latino or other than white you will be executed by the Trumpanzees and it's ok! I guess.
Do you report when White men are detained?
He's extremely lucky, would have been a statistic now, killed while picking trash
Oh dear, the racists from Black Lives Matter are on the shouty step again
arresting a good citzen is that what it has come to in usa
Black folks still harassed just for living. Jfc, we have problems.
