This is ridiculous. In the middle of a pandemic patents should be thrown out. If this drug works then as many people should be making it as possible. Hundreds of thousands are dead and Gilead is enforcing a patent on a drug that can help millions all over the world.

Gilead's profits are less important than the lives of millions. There should be no patents for as long as the pandemic lasts. The production of drugs to treat covid should be open and cooperative and that's for everyone's short and long term benefit., including America's.
