Urgent appeal as Leeds sex offender on the run from police

Luke Avison, 36, is wanted for failing to comply with notification requirements as a registered sex offender. He is also wanted on suspicion of a sexual offence in Leeds and West Yorkshire Police have said he has links to the Wakefield area. The police say they have carried out extensive enquiries but have been unable to find him. A force spokesperson said: "Police in Leeds are appealing for information to locate Luke Avison who is wanted for failing to comply with notification requirements as a registered sex offender. "Luke Avison is also wanted on suspicion of a sexual offence in Leeds and has links to Wakefield.
