ITV's first attempt at diversity fails to live up to its promise - and please can everyone stop mentioning Covid? unsaidstories ★★☆☆☆

If I had been givento watch and asked to name the channel, ITV would not have been my first guess. It’s safe to say that the broadcaster has lagged behind the BBC on the diversity front. While the BBC has been punting out initiatives left, right and centre, it took ITV until last month to publish its “diversity acceleration plan”.

I thought we had all agreed to practice the soft bigotry of low expectations. Shouldn’t you have given it five stars, regardless of quality?

Bigots use the term diversity because they see immutable characteristics like colour of skin, ethnicity & sex, as more important than the persons qualities, skill or the work the individual puts in. They are actual Bigots!

Almost as bad as your efforts to defend Prince Andrew.
