She was one of eight black medical students in their third year at Cardiff Medical School when the annual Anaphylaxis charity play took place in 2016.That year, one of the students who took part in the play impersonated the only black lecturer at the university's medical school, by performing blackface and wearing a black sex toy around his waist. The play also included other racist, sexist and homophobic jokes.
She said:"People did the maths. Out of 300 medical students in the year only eight were black. People essentially started to hate us. A spokesperson for Cardiff University said a"wide range of support" was provided which included"supporting members of the complainant group to move house, change clinical placement locations, access counselling and support".The university said it recognised it had failed to foresee the depth of reaction and feeling amongst the medical cohort of students
But when Cardiff University tweeted about the death of George Floyd earlier this year stating"racism and discrimination have no place in our modern society" it brought it all back. "We have to create a culture that empowers, encourages and supports people when they say these things are wrong, or otherwise they carry on and that's not good enough."

Seems seeks legal advice on legal aid and compensation from Money for u lawyers. As the cost of losing therefore expensive is the key to force the uni to pay rather than any claim being valid or racism. They have learnt how to receive easy money; which 'should' be stopped.
Maybe the only solution to tackle racism is to tackle the problem with African governments and allow it's citizens to return and rebuild for themselves. Seeing as the natives here will not accommodate people of other backgrounds.
I study with the OU because of this. The general campus presence is not very welcoming. There is somewhat an austerity and yet we are all people brought together in that environment for the purpose of appreciating and sharing knowledge.

4 years on after it’s already been dealt with and this young lady decides it’s worth making it a legal reason. The cynics here will know exactly why. It’s the same reason I have companies ringing me up asking if I’ve had an accident in the last 5 years. 🙄

The university are incapable of learning any lessons until it pays out vast sums of money in compensation. Only then when lawyers and claimants have lined their pockets will they know the true extent of the mistake they made.
