The University of Manchester is giving students the chance to apply for crucial help with the cost of living . In recent years, everyday expenses have soared and according to Russell Group analysis, some students are living on average just £2 per week over the destitution line in the UK despite some working.
In a post on the uni's student news site, the university said: "We know that the rising cost of living is impacting nearly everyone across the country, including you, our students. And it can be especially difficult over the winter months with increasing energy bills and additional financial worries.
