Why don't they just look at how most other European countries are managing schools and adopt their best practices. We are not living in a vacuum. More international sharing of best practice and advice should be happening.

Teaching unions are the absolute worst. Nobody in authority should listen to a single word they say. If the teachers - most of whom are useless - don’t like it, sack them and recruit competent teachers who aren’t irrationally scared of a virus.

The government don't give adequate PPE to medical staff who are guaranteed exposure to the virus, they're not going to be bothered about teachers and pupils being protected as they will potentially be exposed to it.
