A United Nations environmentalist from Devon and a father-of-three from Hull are among the seven Brits killed in the Ethiopia plane crash.

We usually spend a bit more time saying goodbye, but yesterday it kind of just felt routine.’ ‘Joanna’s work was not a job – it was her vocation,’ he said of his daughter, who had been living in Rome at the time of her death.Joanna is one of seven Brits killed on the flight ‘She never really wanted to do anything else but work in animal welfare since she was a child.
He added that she was a ‘soft and loving’ person, stating that ‘everyone was very proud of her and the work she did’. Kenyans, Ethiopians, Chinese, Canadians, Americans, Italians, Indians, French and Egyptian citizens were also killed in the plane crash. Visibility was reportedly clear at the time of the crash but air traffic monitor Flightradar24 said ‘vertical speed was unstable after take off’.
