As students prepare to return, lack of government preparedness mean that nation is ‘sleepwalking into a disaster’

Please don't go to school during a pandemic.

The Government doesn’t seem particularly concerned about spread at the moment. With returning to the workplace being pushed, schools reopening, restrictions further easing and uni’s reopening, makes me wonder whether we are seeing Herd Immunity Round 2!

Is it true that staff at ‘most’ Unis were on strike earlier this year? Nobody I know at the former polytechnics was on strike. My students were taught all year - face to face, then online.

I've still to hear a union say anything positive...ever.

Note to subs: UCU is not just a 'teaching union'

Whether or not justified this falls squarely in the narrative of unions constantly putting obstacles in the way of return.

I'm scared that all the precautions we as a family have taken since march will be destroyed when my son goes to university in 3 weeks. New students are almost always ill in the first term without covid lurking. It's a disaster waiting to happen.Just hope it's not financial

Defund teachers unions🤙🏽

Yawn....same old rubbish from another union
